The Chips!
Samantha triumphantly holds up her acquisition, a bag of Lays potato chips. It has become a ritual when we're down at the river for Sam to visit "Miss Barbara" at the dockside store of the Grand Mariner Marina and buy a bag of chips. The space you're looking at was under water for hurricanes Georges and Katrina.
The Chips, Part Two!
Sam shares her joy of the Lays potato chips with "Miss Pat," a frequent visitor to the marina on Sunday afternoons, when live music brings out the regulars on Dog River
Ready for a Boat Ride
Sam and Cheryl take friends Nick and mom Cassandra down to the boat for a Sunday afternoon ride. Pat is there to see us off.
Sunscreen On!
One needs plenty of protection on the water and under the sun. Here we see the PFD on and the sunscreen too. Well, maybe that's a bit much sunscreen.
The Big Back Seat
Cheryl, Samantha, Nicholas and Cassandra enjoy the ride, but they really do wish Mike would stop taking pictures and turn around to drive the boat.
Skipper and First Mate
Daddy and daughter pose for Mommy, who finally grabs the camera from Mike.
Dog River Cruising
Sam and Mommy smile for Daddy near the end of an enjoyable sunset cruise on Dog River. An advantage of keeping the boat in the water, as we do, is that we can take this little excursions almost on a moment's notice.
Skipper Sam?
Sam wanted to sit at the helm for this picture in the light of a Dog River sunset. How soon before she's driving the boat?
End of Day
Some other family of three on some other small boat heads home after a day on the water, as photographed from Sweet Samantha at anchor to enjoy the warm-hued sunset.
