Finally, Mike puts the camera down long enough to be in a picture with Cheryl and Sam. Thanks to our friend J.D. for snapping this shot.

And we were happy to return the favor, capturing this image of J.D. with his wife, Lori, and their beautiful daughter, Bronwen. They were our guests for a brief after-dinner cruise when we crossed Mobile Bay to have a late lunch at the Fly Creek Cafe on the Eastern Shore.

Samantha looks very much older and wiser than her tender year(s) in this photograph. She's not yet 2 years old! Already, she loves all things aquatic.
Tethered to Mom

Don't be nervous -- besides a top-quality Mustang PFD, Sam is sporting a line that has her mother attached to the other end. Which end would you consider the "bitter end"?

Neighbors and young folk Anna and Abby make good use of the foredeck while we are anchored for lunch. Among the planned projects for next winter will be replacing that big hatch, which is cracked. As a temporary fix, Mike spread on the marine silicone sealant to keep water from weeping in through the crack in the plastic.
Smile for the Camera

Cheryl and Sam pose pretty for Mike during one outing in our first spring with the Revenge.

We're tied up in our slip, ready for another boating adventure. Sam knows what to do when a camera is pointed in her direction. She's had a lot of practice.

Every once in a while, Cheryl pries the camera from Mike. Here, the skipper looks back as Sweet Samantha heads back into Dog River after a cruise on Mobile Bay. You can see where the Garmin 176 GPS has been mounted, but it is a temporary installation. Eventual plans call for a bigger Garmin unit that will support that manufacturer's marine network (GPS, sonar, radar, digital radio, etc.).
Big Smile on a Slow Cruise

Sam enjoys the stern seat while we cruise very slowly up and down Dog River, not going too fast while we break in a new auxiliary motor. It's not a very big motor (a Nissan 5 horsepower four-stroke) for this hull, but we came across a deal we couldn't pass up. We are its third owner -- but the first to take it out of the box! Plan A was to get a larger kicker that can be controlled by the starboard half of the OMC/BRP dual binnacle controls we have, but this is Plan B. We may get back to Plan A eventually. In the meantime, the little Nissan pushes us to 5 knots. Oops! Mike forgot to take a picture of the kicker. We'll do that for Page 6.
