Rolling on the River
Here comes Mike at the helm of Sweet Cheryl soon after the boat was repowered in 2004 with a new Evinrude E-Tec outboard motor. Those are Grady White wake waves in front of the boat, as it was a Grady from which the photo was taken. Photo by Lawrence Specker.
Clean Power Plant
The new Evinrude pops the boat up on plane quickly and keeps it there with a minimum of fuel consumption and a very minimum impact on the environment. This is one clean-running 2-stroke technology. We'll eventually have to get one of these in a 200-horsepower flavor for our other boat, a V-22 Revenge.
Daddy's Girls
Friend Paul and his darling daughters join us for a Dog River cruise aboard the 15 Sport while the Revenge was "on the hard" for repairs to a stuck trim unit.
A Farewell Cruise
We didn't know it at the time, but this December 2005 cruise would be the last time we'd entertain anyone aboard our little boat. We sold the boat early in the new year to help pay for a new tow vehicle for the Revenge.
A Last Picture
Mike couldn't bring himself to snap a picture of Sweet Cheryl as she was towed away, heading west to her new owner in Texas. This is one of the pictures from the "For Sale" ad he posted on Boat Trader Online.
